Equity policies
The Australian Synchrotron strives to achieve equity of opportunity in all aspects of conferences and meetings held under their auspices.
As the organiser of the User Meeting, the User Advisory Committee endeavours to achieve this balance by representation that reflects the balance of our research community in the organising committee members, session chairs and speakers. We also aim to achieve a balance across gender, geography and experience.
To assist us in this goal, we ask attendees to indicate their gender, career status and cultural origin as part of the abstract submission and registration processes. Providing this information is entirely optional and is used for the purposes of equity evaluation only.
