November 12th - EPICS-ReactJS Hackathon

We will be running an EPICS-ReactJS Hackathon on the first Monday of the meeting in parallel to the timing workshops.

9am to 4pm

NCSS Board Room (NCSS building, up the stairs, turn left, the meeting room ahead of you)

The goal of the Hackathon is to produce a working demo of a website (+backend) using ReactJS components displaying and changing EPICS PV values.

This Hackathon is brought to you by the controls engineering group from the Australian Telescope National Facility and the Scientific Computing group of the Australian Synchrotron.

Since this is a very hands-on Hackathon and not a workshop, prior knowledge of web technologies such as ReactJS, ES6, HTML, CSS and Websockets is beneficial.

For further information please don't hesitate to contact Andreas (andreasm@ansto.gov.au) or Malte (malte.marquarding@csiro.au).
