Description

This satellite meeting will be hosted by Ralph Lange (ITER) and Bryce Karnaghan (Australian Synchrotron)

The meeting will discuss the following topics:-

1. Why OPC UA?, What are the benefits?
2. Ralph will provide an overview of the work he has undertaken and the results of tests conducted so far.
3. Bryce will cover how OPC UA might help with the configuration and management of EPS and PSS systems for new beamlines at the AS.
4. Does anyone see the need for OPC UA historical access? How would this be implemented? What are the likely issues?
5. Bryce will cover issues experienced using similar historical data elements in systems using DNP3
6. Driver configuration tips and tricks.
7. PLC configuration tips and tricks.
8. What not to do, what does not work.
