Description
Personnel Safety Systems (PSS) at ANSTO-Australian Synchrotron utilise Safety PLCs to implement safety interlocks that protect the personnel against radiation and electrical hazards presented in accelerator areas and beamlines. The need to upgrade the legacy systems and develop new safety systems for expansion projects led to an overhaul of safety PLC platform design that will bring state-of the- art technology and associated benefits to the safety system in the facility.
