If you have had beamtime at the XAS beamline recently, but are still wondering what to do with your data, this workshop should be for you!

The X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy team is organising an XAS data analysis workshop for beginners, supported and hosted by the School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment, Monash University.

The workshop covers basic data processing and XANES and EXAFS analysis using the Demeter suite of software tools. Also included are discussions on good sample preparation and qualitative data inspection during beamtime.

The workshop will focus on hands-on tutorials and the number of seats available on-site will necessarily be limited (with preference given to early career researchers). However, we will also introduce a remote access format via Zoom.

Lectures and tutorials will be presented by:

Dr Brigid McKenna, University of Queensland

Professor Joël Brugger, Monash University

Dr Ryo Sekine, Griffith University

Dr Rosalie Hocking, Swinburne University and Caitlin Ingham, Swinburne University
