Description
Accelerators within CAS have operated since 1964 with our first accelerator, and now currently operate four tandem accelerators. This has represented all too common challenges to maintain facilities where whole beamlines may have been built by staff who have taken full freedom or design, and left the organisation with little to no documentation or support. This presentation will look at how todays Accelerator Systems and Development (ASD) group have taken on the challenge to harmonise mechanical, electrical, and control systems with a guide to standardise developments.
