How to apply

To apply for a place on the ANSTO-HZB school please submit an abstract through the system. The abstract should describe your research (or planned research if you are at the beginning of your studies) to be presented as a poster for the Monday night of the school. Also in the accompanying application we’d like you to explain why neutron scattering is important to your studies and to indicate the three techniques you would like to undertake hands-on experimental training on.

Abstract submission

Places at the ANSTO-HZB neutron school are limited to 24 attendees. To apply for a place on the ANSTO-HZB school please submit an abstract through the system here [link to indigo site]. The abstract should describe your research (or planned research if you are at the beginning of your studies) to be presented as a poster for the Monday night of the school. Also in the accompanying application we’d like you to explain why neutron scattering is important to your studies and what previous experience you have in scattering techniques along.

During the school you will be able to participate in three different experimental training sessions, and in the application we wish you to indicate which techniques you would prefer to undertake. We will try to accommodate everyone’s requests, but please understand if we are unable to assign you to your preferred choices.
