ANSTO

ANSTO

New Illawarra Road, Lucas Heights
Helen Maynard-Casely (Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation)
Description

The ANSTO-HZB neutron school is primarily aimed at participants who have completed their bachelor degree in physical, engineering and life sciences, and early stage researchers e.g. PhD students and postdocs.

It aims to provide an introduction to neutron scattering techniques, hands-on experimental experience and inspiration for the application of neutrons to future research.

Places are limited to 24 participants, with accommodation, food and social program included in the registration fee of $450. Some travel funding to attend the school is available for attendees travelling from AINSE member institutions [link to AINSE].

The school will consist of both lectures and hands on experimental sessions, as well as including a poster session for the participants to present their work and discuss it with attending neutron scattering scientists.
