Travel Options from Airport to Australian Synchrotron
1. Taxi
Journey time ~30 min.

Pickup with Jimmy is not at the normal taxi rank, rather in front of the Park Royal Hotel at the airpot, see map below. It is not possible to book a normal taxi from the airport, you have to go to the taxi stand.
2. Bus and Train
Journey time ~90 min.
- Take the SkyBus (prices and timetables click here) from the airport to Southern Cross Station in Melbourne city. SkyBus is a private bus company, $18 each way, depart every 10 min, journey time ~20 min.
- Take a train from Southern Corss Station on the Glen Waverley line to Syndal Station, timetables and journey planner at the PTV website. Public transport service, purchase a reusable Myki card before getting on the bus, tram or train. 2 hour ticket costs $3.76, journey time ~40 min.
- Take the 703 bus south down Blackburn Rd towards Monash University for 15 min and get off at the Australian Synchrotron stop just before Wellington Rd. Use the same Myki card as the train, cost included in the train fare.
