The 6th Asia-Oceania Forum for Synchrotron Radiation Research (AOFSRR) School will be hosted by the Photon Factory, KEK, Japan. It is aimed at science and engineering graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and early career researchers from across the Asia-Oceania region who are interested in pursuing a career in synchrotron radiation related fields. This school will present a range of lectures and practical sessions relating to the theory and applications of synchrotron radiation to a wide range of science and technology research.

Please use these pages to apply to be an Australian delegate to attend the 6th Asia Oceania Forum Synchrotron Radiation Research (AOFSRR) School, to be held at the Photon Factory in Tsukuba, Japan, from 19-25 October, 2025. 

If you are a currently enrolled PhD or Masters postgraduate student at an Australian University, or a Postdoctoral Researcher within 3 years of the award of their PhD, then you are eligible to apply to attend the School.

Numbers are strictly limited: Australia has secured 4 places at the school. Successful and unsuccessful candidates will be informed by late-July, 2025.
