Transport to Hotel
Participants are responsible for their own transport from the airport to the hotel.
Public Transport
Sydney’s public transport is cashless for all trains, buses, light rail or ferries. Cost of the ticket will depend on the distance travelled prices can be found here.
If you have a contactless payment enabled credit card or device (e.g mobile phone or smart watch) this can be used for payment - be aware your bank may charge overseas transaction fees. Alternatively, you can purchase an OPAL transport card or single trip ticket at the Domestic and International terminal railway stations or at any of these locations.
Please note there is surcharge to get on and off at the airport stations

Taxi – Please note an estimated fare from the airport to your hotel is approximately $60AUD and would take about 30 minutes in normal traffic (17km).
Uber is available in Sydney.
Hotel Details
ANSTO will be making hotel bookings for grant funded participants. Bookings will be for check in Sunday 13 November and check out Saturday 19 November.
Participants not receiving grant funding are responsible for booking their own accommodation - a promotional code has been supplied by ANSTO.
Metro Hotel Miranda

The closest train station to the hotel is Miranda (5 min walk from station to hotel - 450 metres).
Westfield Miranda is located across the road from the hotel. There are several supermarkets, speciality food shops and general retail outlets as well as a number of restaurants located there.
To travel by train from Miranda to the Sydney CBD takes approximately one hour.
The nearest beach is Cronulla - this can be reached by train in under 10 minutes. There is a wide range of cafes and restaurants in the area around Cronulla beach.
Transport to Venue
ANSTO have arranged transport between the hotel to ANSTO. You are to wait for the bus on Jackson Street near the coffee shop (marked with star).
An ANSTO representative will meet you there at 8.00am on Monday 14 November. On Tuesday - Friday, the bus will depart at 8.30am.
Please arrive promptly - should you miss the bus you will be responsible for arranging your own transport to ANSTO by taxi or Uber (there is no public transport to ANSTO).
Meals
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided each day. A hospitality dinner will be held on Wednesday 16 November. All other meals are the responsibility of participants.
