DESCRIPTION:INTRODUCTION\n\nORANGE is a data mining and visualization pack
 age that has been developed at the University of Ljubljana\, Slovenia. It 
 has a wide range of applications\, and recently\, in collaboration with so
 me infrared synchrotron beamlines in Europe\, “add-on” packages specif
 ically tailored for the analysis of infrared data have been added. At the 
 Australian Synchrotron\, we are keen to explore the potential of ORANGE to
  provide an intuitive tool for multivariate analysis of data that will ben
 efit the beamline user community.\n\nWe are pleased to have ORANGE expert 
 Marko Toplak as trainer for our workshop\, and hope that the event will pr
 ovide you\, the attendees\, with exposure to the potential of ORANGE for t
 he analysis of your data.\n\nTo complement the primary focus of the ORANGE
  workshop\, we will also include an update from Koman Tam (Bruker) on mult
 ivariate capabilities within the Bruker OPUS software.\n\nThe workshop wil
 l be held in the Boardroom of the NCSS building at the Australian Synchrot
 ron and will start at 9:30 am on 25th September\, with registration from 9
 :00 a.m. and finish around 3:00 pm on 26th.\n\nLunch on both days\, and an
 d evening buffet on the Tuesday evening will be held in the Synchrotron Ca
 fe.\n\n \n\nWHAT TO DO NEXT\n\nAll attendees will have received notificat
 ion of their place at the workshop. We now require that you complete the f
 ollowing steps:\n\n\n	Register for the workshop – Follow the Registratio
 n link in the menu to the left. There is a registration fee of $50 for non
  ANSTO employees\n	Submit an accommodation booking form to the User Office
  if you are travelling from outside Melbourne – see the Travel and Accom
 modation link in the menu to the left for more details.\n	A travel expense
 s claim form will be forwarded to you before the workshop for you to compl
 ete and return.\n	Download and install ORANGE!\n\n\nINSTALLING ORANGE\n\nW
 e ask that in advance of the workshop you download and install Orange\, vi
 ew some of the tutorials and install the Spectroscopy "add on". Details ar
