 he Australian Centre for Neutron Scattering (ACNS) will facilitate a clip 
 session in which PhD students and postdoctoral researchers will showcase t
 heir current work and future directions.\n\n \n\nOn the 17th October 2019
  the Australian Centre for Neutron Scattering (ACNS) will host a clip day 
 focused on showcasing research by PhD students and post-doctoral researche
 rs that are co-supervised by an ACNS staff member. The event will be held 
 in the OPAL Visitor Centre (B83) at ANSTO's Lucas Heights campus.\n\n \n
 \nThe purpose of the clip day is to:\n\n\n	provide a forum for participant
 s to interact and connect with peers\, their ACNS co-supervisors and other
  ACNS staff\;\n	gain experience presenting their work to a scientific audi
 ence from a broad range of disciplines\;\n	learn about exciting new resear
 ch happening at ACNS\;\n	facilitate valuable discussions and feedback on t
 he research studies of the PhD students and post-doctoral researchers.\n\n
 \nAll PhD students are encouraged to apply\, even if you do not have resul
 ts yet ! The opportunity to get to know each other and to develop your wor
 king relationships with your co-supervisors and peers is not to be missed.
 \n\n \n\nWith talks from over 30 young researchers the day will provide a
 n insight into the range of capabilities at ACNS. These talks will showcas
 e the quest to answer fundamental questions about the structure\, composit
 ion and dynamics of materials used in medicine\, mining\, transportation\,
  building\, engineering\, food processing and scientific research.\n\n \n
 \nAll participants will provide a short overview presentation of their wor
 k with ample time set aside for sharing of ideas and in-depth discussions.
   In addition a poster session will be held to further encourage knowledg
 e sharing and from this we anticipate cross-fertilisation of ideas with th
 e likelihood that researchers will see the power for their project of prev
 iously unconsidered neutron scattering techniques. \n\n \n\nThe Neutron 
 Scattering Clip Day is a FREE event\, with accommodation and travel suppor
 t available to qualified participants.\n\nThe symposium commences with a w
